To celebrate VE Day join Rachel in our Victorian Kitchen, to discover the important role the Women's Land Army played in keeping the nation fed in the Second World War.

Telling the story of London born Dorothy Capon who traveled to Chelmsford to work in the Land Army with Dorothy's own personal artifacts and photos, as well as handling objects from the museums collection. Find out what day to day life was like for a Land Army Girl and the important role rationing had in the British war effort, continuing long after the jubilant celebrations of VE Day.

Tickets are free with entry into the museum.
