Ink Drawings Drop-In Workshop with Blake Walker

Learn the technique of drawing with ink and brush. Draw with the artist to create your own character based off Blake's art style.

This is a free drop-in session across the day, suitable visitors ages 10+. Anyone under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

If it gets busy, you will be asked to return at a later time. Please note that the materials used may permanently stain clothing.

About the artist

I’m Blake, 22-years-old and I’ve been making art since I was about 15. I was born in New Zealand and moved to the UK ten years ago, and over that time I’ve built a strong connection with the local area.

I studied art at Sandon High School and later graphic design at Chelmsford College, which helped shape the way I approach creativity and visual ideas.

For me, art is a way to translate experiences and influences into something visual. Inspiration comes from everywhere: the outdoors, exploring new places, design, music, and artists that inspire me. All of these things feed back into my work.

My art brings together these influences to reflect both my experiences and the world around me.
