Sports School welcome information

You need to make sure you have downloaded the Chelmsford City Sports App  for our leisure centres and then log into the student's ourChelmsford account. This will allow you to scan in at the turnstiles to access the sports hall. 

For lessons to run smoothly, please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of your lesson. You should make your way to the sports hall, which is located on the first floor and can be accessed via the green stairs.

We encourage parents to watch their children. You should make sure you stay on site when your child is on the courses in case we need to get in contact with you. This is must for those with children under 8 years old.

Equipment

Students should wear comfortable sports style clothing (leggings/joggers) with socks.

All chldren should bring a drink.

Progression

We continually assess each child, and the children need to complete all outcomes of the grade they are in, before they can move up.

The sports school runs throughout the year, excluding school holidays and bank holidays. The cost of lessons are calculated on 39 weeks a year, divided over 12 monthly payments.

Missed sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable.

The cost of parking is not included in the monthly fee. The car park on site is pay and display.

You can keep track of your child’s progress, manage bookings and access other services through our Home Portal.

To get started, you need to:

1. Download the Chelmsford City Sports app for iPhone or Android. The app gives you quick and easy access to all four of our leisure centres and allows you to make and manage bookings and view timetables.

2. Sign in with your Chelmsford membership credentials. Once logged in, select Sports Hall, then Lesson Portal to see your child’s progress

Whilst we encourage you to make the most of the Home Portal, it only serves as a guide on what the next steps in terms of development are for your child.

Our teachers are continually assessing your child to ensure that they are remaining consistent in their progression, but this may not be reflected in the home portal straight away. Use the home portal to celebrate your child’s milestones and never miss a session!
